I totally agree with the keyword stuffing thing. Using your keywords a lot in your article only shows that your priority is the SE's robots and not the people.

Should balance it because what's the use of high SERPS but you don't have good content.

A lot of readers are really complaining about John Chow's paid reviews, and yet, it doesn't stop him. Well, a $500 per review certainly would make you decide quickly. Still, that's his style and I sort of got used to it. Didn't unsubscribe. But I sure don't read his review anymore.

Such an important topic here, Carl. The keywords might get that new reader there once, but if you don't deliver with informative, engaging and, yes, even entertaining content, they won't be back.

I teach a Savvy Bloggers: Getting Started workshop though biznik.com and this question comes up all the time. I do not write for the search engines. I write for my readers. But I pay particular attention to the title, and sometimes keep rewriting it until it has something for both the search engines and the reader. I absolutely despise keyword stuffing.

I agree with JohuaElliot. For instance my most recent post was "Get Off the Hamster Wheel: 5 Ways to Avoid Social Media Overload." "Hamster wheel" to provide a visual and provoke curiosity in my readers and "social media overload" for google.

Another one: "Swedish Cowboys and Scuba Diving Brides: 8 Reasons You Should have a Niche." Part "Huh, Swedish cowboys? What's this post about?" and part what will people be searching for on Google.

Wow. You read 70-80 blogs? I'm impressed. : )

I agree that our content should be for human eyes not for SE robots.

How do we write for both human and robots?

First write the content for human, then research the keywords that will help you rank well in the search engine, then rewrite the content where you position the keywords in the blog post.

So its very important to understand some basic On Page Optimization.
