These Firefox Plugins will make doing business online much easier

FireFox Plugins at Carlstips.comDon’t underestimate the power of a great plug-in

If you’re as serious about marketing on-line as I am, then you know that every second counts. Too much time is wasted going from page to page checking stats, updating posts, backlinking, finding good keywords, checking swipe files and a whole host of tedious tasks that can be simplified with a plugin.

1. WebRank Toolbar
Every time you visit a webpage you will instantly see:

  • Google Pagerank
  • Alexa  Rank
  • Compete Rank
  • Quatcast Rank
  • How many pages are indexed in (Google, Bing and Yahoo)
  • How many backlinks the site is getting from (Google, Bing and Yahoo)
  • and more

Each feature on the toolbar automatically links back to it’s original site, so, if you want to see all the backlinks coming from Yahoo, it’s as easy as clicking a button (This is very useful)

2.  LastPass

If you are using multiple computers and/or multiple accounts this tool will save you hours.

Lastpass saves all your usernames and passwords to a secure online account (I have been using it for years). When you visit a site, LastPass will automatically fill in your log-in information to save time.  If you have multiple accounts, it will let you easily choose between them and you can easily switch without ever having to remember a password.

If you are on another computer, all you have to do is download LastPass, log in, and it will remember all your passwords as if you were on your computer. (Don’t worry, once you log out of LastPass no user information is saved on the computer). It is very secure.

3. MultiRow Bookmarks Toolbar
This is my favorite time saver.  This tool extends your bookmarks toolbar to multiple rows. Currently, I have 70 of my most important websites organized between 3 rows. (The important trick to this is right clicking each item and changing the properties to shorten the names of each bookmark – for most of mine, I remove the name completely because I remember the icon).

4. RankChecker

This tool lets you plug in multiple websites and multiple keywords to show you which position the particular website ranks for those keywords. (This saves you from having to go to Google directly)

5. IMacros

(copied directly from the original description) Automate Firefox. Record and replay repetitious work. If you love the Firefox web browser, but are tired of repetitive tasks like visiting the same sites every days, filling out forms, and remembering passwords, then iMacros for Firefox is the solution you’ve been dreaming of! ***Whatever you do with Firefox, iMacros can automate it.***

With a little bit of imagination, you can use IMacros to help boost your websites to the top of search engines

If you have an extension that you like to use, please share it in the comments

Trail Mix keeps your offline files and Saved Webpages completely organized

For the past few days I have been looking for a way to keep my Internet Business organized.

I download a lot of e-books, visit a lot of websites and forums, and have many important documents I use all the time.

Trail-Mix Firefox Addon

By pure accident I found this free plugin which has made my life so much easier.

How it works (Qutoed directly from their website)

Trail-Mix Activities help you keep track of everything you need for your projects!

  • Squirrel away Notes, Pictures, Web Pages, and Files, organized together in a Firefox sidebar!
  • Drag & Drop links or snippets of text into Activities for reference later.
  • Drag & Drop to save pictures from the web or save snapshots of web pages in one click.
  • Activities are always available in the sidebar, so you can access them at any time.

How I use it

Trail Mix gives you the ability to create folders and store pictures, websites, files, etc.. in them

So……. I categorize some of my folders like this

  • Documents still to read
  • Important Websites
  • Traffic Building Ebooks/Websites
  • SEO Ebooks/Websites
  • Active Forum Posts

Well, you get the idea

Everything is drag and drop so you can easily drag a folder, website, picture, document, etc… into an organized folder system in your firefox browser.

If you found this post helpful please leave a comment and let me know.
