Don’t Give Up on AdSense
Don’t even think about giving up on AdSenseFor the past three years now I have been reading articles about AdSense being dead. Although the days of the $10 click are pretty much over, I wouldn’t consider AdSense anything less than one of the greatest money makers of our time. Since beginning this blog a few weeks ago, I decided to revamp all my old sites and create a few new ones. I wanted to see if with a little tweaking and advertising I could make at least $100 a day from AdSense like so many others claim to. The AdSense FailIf you have statcounter as your webstats program, you can easily tell (to the second) when somebody clicks on one of your ads. I had noticed that I had gotten a few clicks without the AdSense program registering them at all. That made me pretty angry and kind of scared. I thought to myself “Is AdSense even worth it anymore?”. AdSense HopeAfter a little bit of research I found that if people click on your ads “too soon”, you don’t get any credit for the clicks. At first I got very upset by this (a click is supposed to be a click), but immediately took action to make sure that my ads were lower on the page so they wouldn’t be clicked too soon. AdSense SuccessAfter I moved all my ads to below the content I started making a ton more revenue a day. And, my click values went up. At first I thought it was coincidence but I have done enough testing to know that it’s fact. AdSense AdviceYou have the choice to believe me or not. But, what I am telling you has really worked for me….. Place ALL your ads and outbound links on your site to below the fold. Don’t give the user much chance to click on outbound links. Also, only use ONE AdSense for Content. This will increase the value of the clicks. (It is better to get 2 $2.00 clicks than 30 ten cent clicks.) Let me know what you think? If you have found similar or differing results please let me know in the comment area.
One Little Philosophy Improved My Sales By 250 Percent
Be The Consultant Not The SellerI had a “duh!” moment last week when my friend (remember the one who told me creating a blog was a waste of time), looked at my affiliate landing pages and called me an idiot. He said “nobody is going to buy from you”. With a wicked grin I looked over at him and said “they already do”. And I proceeded to show him my affiliate earnings. I told him that I write articles, the prospects land on my landing pages, and then click the link to the affiliates page. (That is.. if they don’t sign up for my newsletter first). To make a long story short He told me that if I recommend the products instead of trying to sell them I would have a better conversion. I was terribly afraid of changing anything because what I was doing was working. I couldn’t really split test at this point because I already had a lot of traffic coming to the pages. But I did decide to do some research and give it a try. I quickly redesigned the pages to be product review sites (which I despise by the way) and for at least the past few days my sales have definitely gone up. Now, I of course have to monitor this for a few weeks, but, for now it seems to be working. If anybody has any suggestions or feedback on this, please let me know. I always appreciate feedback.
